Building Future-Ready Graduates through Industry Partnerships

At the Institute for the Future of Work (IFOW), we believe that bridging the gap between education and industry is essential to fostering a thriving, employable graduate pool ready for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond. In partnership with Mindworx Digital Skills Academy, IFOW piloted an initiative aimed at enhancing the employability of Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) graduates by equipping them with industry-required digital skills, aligned with key industry needs. Candidates who successfully completed the Mindworx training were then placed with industry partners to gain work experience.

This initiative marks the beginning of a broader effort to make industry-linked training and placement opportunities accessible to graduates across TUT and beyond. As we move forward, this programme has been expanded to become a standing initiative in partnership with Mindworx. We are also working closely with curriculum development teams to ensure that future TUT graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in Industry 4.0 and beyond.
