4IR Discourse: Shaping the Future of Work through Dialogue and Collaboration

Engaging Conversations, Actionable Insights

The Annual Future of Work Dialogue is more than just a conference; it’s a catalyst for change. Through a series of engaging panel discussions, keynote speeches, and interactive workshops, we delve into the most pressing issues surrounding the future of work, from the implications of artificial intelligence and automation to the need for new skills and workforce strategies.

By fostering open and honest conversations, we aim to generate actionable insights and solutions that can help organizations and individuals adapt and thrive in the face of rapid technological change.

Bridging the Gap between Academia and Industry

As an initiative of the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), IFOW is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between academia and industry. The Annual Future of Work Dialogue brings together leading researchers, educators, and industry experts, facilitating cross-pollination of ideas and fostering collaborations that drive innovation.

By connecting the latest research and academic insights with real-world business challenges, we aim to create a more dynamic and responsive ecosystem that can effectively address the needs of the 4IR workforce.

Driving Policy and Practice

The insights and recommendations generated at the Annual Future of Work Dialogue have the potential to shape policy and practice at the national and international levels.

By engaging with government representatives, policymakers, and international organizations, we aim to inform and influence the development of forward-thinking strategies and frameworks that can help societies and economies navigate the challenges and opportunities of the 4IR. Our goal is to ensure that the benefits of technological progress are distributed fairly and that no one is left behind in the transition to the future of work.
